Frame Restoration
In addition to picture restoration, we also offer a simple and efficient frame restoration service, which covers repairs to loose or lost plaster, missing gilt, and structural work.
Retain the original
Retaining the original frame for your painting can add to its value and in some instances, the frames are more valuable than the pieces themselves. Our frame restoration process will bring new vitality to antique gilt frames.
Missing plaster or gilding
Bring everything you have and retain any plaster which may have been detached. Our frame restorer works diligently using any original pieces where possible, or alternatively he’ll recast replacements or hand mould them. Any losses to the surface gilt are also replaced and we offer full regilding where required.
Framing
We offer a range of high-quality mouldings designed for any oil painting on canvas or wood. They cover a range of designs including reproductions of period designs.
QUICK TURNAROUND
We prepare the frames in-house and usually complete our work within a week or two. Hanging equipment is added free of charge.
COLLECTION & DELIVERY
If you’re unable to bring your painting to us in Cheltenham, we can collect it from your door.
